Top 5 Weird Hotels

Jules Underwater Lodge

Based in Key Largo, South Florida Jules’ Underwater Lodge is most certainly a fishy place to stay. Not only is it a hotel, but if you have a keen interest in diving then this is certainly an experience worth paying for! You can stay overnight at the hotel and they give you the option of ordering in a pizza. Yes you can ge

t pizza delivered to your underwater lodge, sadly unlike here in the UK, voucher codes don’t apply to underwater delivery! Anyway it certainly beats getting it delivered to your Travelodge room!

Garimasu Cave Hotel

The Garimasu Cave Hotel in Cappadocia, Turkey is certainly a place that grabs your attention. Situated in a 1,000 year old Byzantine monastic retreat, until very recently some parts of the cave were used by Christian monks. If you’re visiting this picturesque place you can book yourself into one of the monks’ cells or if you really fancy splashing the cash you can treat yourself to one of the deluxe rooms. It’s safe to say, though that staying in a cave hotel is an experience in itself and with flights to Turkey from Thomson and other travel agents like Thomas Cook at reasonable prices why not book now?

Dog Bark Park Inn

Based in Cottonwood, Idaho, the Dog Bark Park Inn is definitely one for dog lovers. If you’re one who quite likes the sound of staying in a 12-foot tall Beagle then you should book yourself a First Choice flight out to the States and book yourself a room. Apparently the hotel brings people an insight into the “early days of automobile vacation travel when travellers would often buy gas, eat meals or stay overnight in a building that looked like something else”. So if you’re barking mad and you fancy staying in a 12-foot Beagle, this is the ideal place for you!

City Lodge, Propeller Island

Sounds like a normal hotel right? Wrong. This hotel is one of the least normal hotel’s you’ll ever see. Low Cost Holidays are readily available from many places, but even this kind of hotel you wouldn’t expect to stay in, regardless of the price paid. From upside down beds and mirrored rooms, this hotel may not go down too well with many guests but it’s definitely one of the most bizarre, weird hotels out there. It’s certainly a hotel you won’t be able to find on Alpharooms or LateRooms, either!

Costa Verde – Boeing 727 Fuselage Hotel

You may be thinking that it’s a bit of a mouthful for the name of a hotel, but this is just the name of one of the rooms you can stay in, the hotel is the Costa Verde Hotel. They have turned a vintage Boeing 727 fuselage into a luxurious, tree-top room. With some breathtaking views, it still doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s an extremely bizarre place to stay in such a lovely setting. So if you do fancy staying here why not look into EasyJet Holidays and see if you can get a good deal on flights out here, and not only will you be in a plane for the flight but also the duration of the stay.
